Sempre me perguntei porque o SC Corinthians Paulista nunca fez uma parceria com nosso velho pai Corinthian-Casual, aos moldes da que já fez com outros clubes, ou mesmo emprestando jogadores e quem sabe assim, criar uma potência na Europa, entretanto fui pesquisar um pouco da história no site do Casual e eis que descobri o motivo:

São as regras do Clube, e a primeira delas diz: 1. The Club será chamado o Corinthian Casuals Football Club - (do clube). (a) A sua ' objetivos são promover o fair play e desportivismo, para jogar futebol competitivo ao mais alto nível possível, mantendo-se estritamente amador e reter os ideais do Corinthian Casuals e dos Clubes de Futebol.

Club Rules
1. The Club shall be called the Corinthian-Casuals Football Club (the Club).
(a) Its’ aims are to promote fair play and sportsmanship, to play competitive football at the highest level possible whilst remaining strictly amateur and retaining the ideals of the Corinthian and the Casuals Football Clubs.

2. The Colours shall be as follows:
(a) The Shield of the Club’s Coat of Arms with a blue background.
(b) Chocolate and Pink (old Casuals colours).
(c) All members shall be entitled to wear the colours described in (a) and (b) above.
(d) Blue and white (old Corinthian colours).
(d) Only past members of Corinthian F.C. And new members specially elected in accordance with Rule 5 (k) shall be entitled to wear these colours.

3. Status of Rules
(a) These rules (the Club Rules) form a binding agreement between each member of the Club.

4. Rules and Regulations
(a) The Rules and Regulations of The Football Association Limited and parent County Association and any League or Competition to which the Club is affiliated for the time being shall be deemed to be incorporated into the Club Rules.
(b) If any alteration is considered necessary in the Rules of the Club, notice of the same, together with the names of the proposer and seconder shall be sent to the Hon. Secretary on or before April 1st in each year, and copies of such proposals shall be sent to the members with the notice convening the Annual General Meeting. No alterations shall be made unless approved by two-thirds of the members present and voting at the Annual General Meeting. No proposed alteration to the Club Rules shall be effective unless the proposed alteration has been approved in writing by The Football Association 14 days or more before the day on which the alteration is proposed to take place.
(c) The Club will also abide by The Football Association’s Child Protection Policies and Procedures, Codes of Conduct and the Equal Opportunities and Anti-Discrimination Policy.

5. Executive Committee
(a) The Officers of the Club shall consist of the President, Vice-Presidents, Hon. Treasurer or Treasurers, Hon. Secretary or Secretaries who shall be elected at the Annual General Meeting.
(b) The management of the Club shall be vested in an Executive Committee which shall consist of the Chairperson of the Executive Committee, the Hon. Treasurer, Hon. Secretary or Secretaries and up to twelve other members elected at the Annual General Meeting.
  1. At the first meeting after the Annual General Meeting the Executive Committee shall elect one of their number to be Vice Chairperson for the current term.
(c) All members other than Social and Corporate Members shall be entitled to vote at General Meetings and shall be eligible for election to the Executive Committee.
(d) Executive Committee meetings shall be chaired by the Chairperson or in their absence the Vice Chairperson or Hon. Secretary. The quorum for the transaction of business of the Club shall be five.
(e) Decisions of the Executive Committee:
  1. Shall be made by a simple majority of those attending the Executive Committee meeting.
  2. In the event of an equality of votes the Chairperson, in addition to his ordinary vote, shall be entitled to exercise a casting vote.
  3. (Decisions of the Executive Committee shall be entered into the Minute Book of the Club to be maintained by the Club Secretary.

(f) The Executive Committee may appoint Sub-Committees of its number and may co-opt special members not exceeding five in number, for such purpose and in such manner as it may think fit.
(g) The office of an Officer or Official shall be vacated if such person be suspended from holding office or from taking part in any football activity relating to the administration or management of a Football Club.
(h) Any member of the Executive Committee may call a meeting by giving not less than 7 days’ notice to all members of the Executive Committee.
  1. An outgoing member of the Executive Committee may be re-elected. Any vacancy on the Executive Committee, which arises between Annual General Meetings, shall be filled by a member proposed by one and seconded by another of the remaining Executive Committee members and approved by a simple majority of the remaining Executive Committee members.
(j) Save as provided for in the Rules and Regulations of The Football Association and the County Association to which the Club is affiliated, the Executive Committee shall have the power to decide all questions and disputes arising in respect of any issue concerning the Club Rules.
(k) The Executive Committee shall have the right each year to elect a limited number of members who, for outstanding playing ability and/or services to the club, are considered to have merited the right to wear a Corinthian tie.

6. The Annual and Extraordinary General Meeting
(a) An Annual General Meeting (AGM) shall be held, not later than the last day of July, each year:

  1. To receive a report of the activities of the Club over the previous year.
  2. To receive a report of the Club’s finances over the previous year, together with a Balance Sheet and Statement of Accounts, duly audited by the Hon. Auditor or Auditors elected at the previous Annual General Meeting.
  3. To elect the Officers of the Club and members of the Executive Committee of the Club for the current year. It should be noted that no Officer of the Club, or member, shall be eligible to be elected as Honorary Auditor or Auditors.
  4. To fix the Membership Subscriptions.
  5. Consider any other business.


(b) Nominations for election of members as Officers of the Club or as members of the Executive Committee shall be made in writing by the proposer and seconder, both of whom must be existing members of the Club, to the Hon. Secretary not less than seven days before the AGM.
(c) The Secretary shall send to each member at their last known address written notice of the date of an Annual General Meeting together with the resolutions to be proposed not less than fifteen days before and notice of any resolution to be proposed at the AGM shall be given in writing to the Hon. Secretary not less than seven days prior to the meeting with the name of the proposer and seconder.
(d) An Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) may be called at any time by the Executive Committee and shall be called within twenty-one days of the receipt by the Hon. Secretary of a written request signed by not less than fifteen members stating the purpose for which the Meeting is required and the resolutions proposed. Not less than seven days’ notice shall be given of all such meetings and the notice shall state the purpose for which any such meeting has been called. Business at the EGM may be any business that may be transacted at an AGM.
(e) The Chairperson, or in their absence a member selected by the Executive Committee, shall take the chair. Each member present shall have one vote and resolutions shall be passed by a simple majority. In the event of an equality of votes the Chairperson of the Meeting shall have a casting vote.
(f) The Hon. Secretary, or in their absence a member of the Executive Committee, shall enter Minutes of General Meetings into the Minute Book of the Club.

7. Club Membership
(a) The members of the Club from time to time shall be those persons listed in the register of members (the Membership Register) which shall be maintained by the Hon. Secretary.
(b) Membership Categories

  1. Full Members shall pay an annual subscription of an amount as agreed under Rule 8 (a).
  2. Life Members, who having paid a lump sum subscription giving membership for life; the amount depending on age and a scale of rates as agreed under Rule 8 (a), shall not be liable to pay any further subscription.
  3. Social Members who shall pay an annual subscription of an amount as agreed under Rule 8 (a). Social membership will allow the member free entry to the club’s ground and premises at King George’s Park, Tolworth but not include the admission charge to matches.
  4. Corporate Members, who having paid a lump sum subscription giving membership for a set term; the amount depending on a scale of rates as agreed at the time membership is granted.

(c) Member Election
  1. Full Members - Every candidate for election must be proposed and seconded by a member of the Executive Committee and such candidate must be known personally by his proposer and seconder. The names of all candidates shall be circularised to the Executive Committee, together with the names of the proposer and seconder, with the notice calling the next Executive Meeting. Candidates, to whom no objection is received in writing, or at such meeting, will be automatically elected.
